Privacy Policy

Dotted does not collect, transmit, or store personal data on any server we control. We do not have analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, third-party trackers, or any user accounts you create with us. We never see the names of your habits, your daily dots, your moods, your notes, your reminders, or your streaks.

All habit content you create in Dotted is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks (SwiftData). The same content is synchronized through your personal Apple iCloud account so it can appear on your other Apple devices signed in to the same Apple ID. The data travels between your devices and Apple's iCloud only — it never reaches Teddy App Labs.

Dotted supports an optional Shared Rituals feature that lets you keep one small ritual together with another person you trust. When you choose to share a ritual, the ritual's data is stored in Apple's CloudKit Shared Database between you and the participant you invite. Only you and the people you invite can see that ritual; we cannot see its contents. You can leave or stop a shared ritual at any time inside the app.

Dotted Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, and a lifetime in-app purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see, collect, or store any payment details, card information, or Apple ID. Subscription entitlement is managed by RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app-generated identifier from your device so it can confirm your Pro status. RevenueCat does not receive your habit content, names, or any human-readable personal information.

If you enable reminders or quiet hours, Dotted schedules notifications using Apple's on-device notification system. Notification content is generated locally on your device. The contents of those notifications are not sent to us.

If you have allowed Apple to share device analytics with developers (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymized crash logs with us. These logs are aggregated by Apple and contain no personal content from inside Dotted. You can disable this in iOS Settings.

Dotted is rated 4+ but is not designed for or marketed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

• Leave a shared ritual: you can leave any shared ritual you participate in from the ritual's detail screen.
• Delete everything: deleting the app removes all locally stored habits and preferences from that device. To remove iCloud-synced copies on other devices, also delete the app from those devices, or remove Dotted's iCloud data from Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
• Manage subscription: manage or cancel Dotted Pro at any time through Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

Dotted relies on the following third-party services for the features described above:

• Apple iCloud and CloudKit — iCloud sync and Shared Rituals. Subject to Apple's privacy policy.
• Apple StoreKit — subscriptions and in-app purchases. Subject to Apple's privacy policy.
• RevenueCat — receipt validation and entitlement status for Dotted Pro. Subject to RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of Dotted after a change means you accept the updated policy.
